Bloggers meet up at Secrets Resorts

We’ve been here for a few hours and every moment has been memorable. I’ve visited one of the top hotel chains in the island and I can assure you that Secrets Resort, Montego Bay lives up to the expectation and even surpasses many of the legendary top hotels in terms of service, taste and authenticity. The hotel is smack on the beach, but if you think you’re going to have the standard room and beach package, you’re in for a surprise. In a conversation late last night I said “this hotel is like a city”… and it truly is.

On Thursday, the locals traveled from Kingston to Montego Bay courtesy of the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderful staff of Secrets Resorts. They greeted us with “Welcome Home” and although we were flabbergasted we began to believe it, this hotel is truly divine. The team will be here for 5 days, 4 nights to visit the attractions in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril – hot spots for any tourist visiting Jamaica. I received the official itinerary hours ago and although the days are filled with activities it will provide the real Jamaican attraction experience to die for.

But, let me not get ahead of myself here. I’ll have five days to explore this beautiful property in its entirety. If you are a regular reader here, you know only Corve can be your eyes and ears on this escapade. Come with me on this journey! For the next five days, I’ll be bringing you exclusive images, video, and interviews of the first Jamaica Tourist Board Bloggers Meet up.

Believe me: if you could see, touch and inhale the ambiance at Secrets, St. James,  you would already be booking your next vacation to not only see Jamaica, but to come to this great new vacation paradise. I know it sounds corny, but when everything is this good, it’s really hard NOT to be corny. The bloggers will be tweeting on Twitter, so ensure you are kept updated with the hashtag #OneLoveJA, or visit these pages, @corvedacosta, @SecretsResorts, @Gordonswaby, @StunnerJ@Nellie Huang, @askthejtb, @Stefanie Fauquet Most of their Twitter accounts have their blogs attached in the description to the right of the page, so feel free to visit those blogs for more updates with blog posts.

Scenes from the hotel –  I couldn’t help myself.

Welcome Home

Secrets Resort - Wild Orchid, Montego Bay

Last evening, we had a welcome reception and it was fantastic. The food, entertainment, bloggers, social media gurus, travel writers, executives of the hotel all had a great time. I think the energy amongst us was positive and this trip will be beneficial to all the parties involved.

If you visit Secrets Resort - Wild Orchid you must meet this man, Billy Love.
