This is the exclusive backstage pass from the Bloggers Meet Up here at Secrets Resorts and Spas in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The days here are filled with activities from beginning to end. On Friday, the Director of Sales Heather Roye gave a comprehensive tour of the resort. The bloggers then traveled to the garden parish of St. Ann where we were treated to dog sledding at Chukka Cove. When you thought it couldn’t have gotten better, some of the participants on the bloggers meet up climbed the popular and sought after attraction the Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios. After all that, we just happened to visit three of the most popular night spots here in sweet sweet Montego Bay.

So we started the day with the tour of the resort and only then did we realize how humongous this property is. For anyone to completely walk from one extreme end to the other you would burn more than calories but you will earn some needed sweat to prove it. The property is simply fantastic, gorgeous, chic, artistic in many ways; throw in a beach with that, it’s perfection. It’s no longer Secrets Resorts & Spas because we are dishing all the details about this place and its abundance of greatness that you can only not resist. The Secret is OUT!

Chukka Caribbean Adventures

With locations in Jamaica, Belize and Turks and Caicos Chukka Caribbean Adventures is a major player in the attraction business in Jamaica. If you are visiting Jamaica and you are in search for something adventurous this is the place for you. After my visit to Chukka Caribbean Adventures I was simply impressed with their service offering. Their tour guide was by far one of the best I’ve seen in Jamaica. He was not only comfortable sharing the information but he communicated the ethos and the information with ease and that was critical. A major activity at this site is dog sledding and most of the bloggers had an opportunity to participate. The dogs are phenomenal, super friendly, strong and well-trained. It is the complete package with the best scenery sitting at the edge of a cliff where waves crash into the rocks-which makes a good photo opt. The tour is completed with a documentary, and an opportunity to participate in other activities and of course to mingle with the friendly dogs with some of the best personalities a dog could have. Certainly Chukka Caribbean Adventures lives by its mantra Explore More, Live More. Thanks Damion and Jermaine and the rest of the team esp the Marketing Team.

After that ride with the dogs all you want to do is step into the jacuzzi at Secrets Resorts. But, the day had just begun and we set out for the famous Dunn’s River Falls. Just before Dunn’s River Falls though we ate at the best Jamaican jerk at Scotchies. The meal was sumptuous, and they offer a variety of meats like chicken, fish and pork. Persons who ate the pork were satisfied, only the aluminium paper was left, however, chicken was not so ‘hot’ (popular).

You think the evening was over, no it wasn’t. We partied at two of the best clubs on the Hip Strip in Montego Bay (Blue Beat and Margataville) with our final stop at Pier 1. After all that all I wanted to pass out on my bed in the room. I swore I heard the bed say “Come here”.
