one of my favorite things to do in new kingston is to walk around in bookland, observing the new books on the shelves and of course my fav. magazines.
i decided to create a list of all the hot books which every book lover would be happy to read. here we go.
if you liked fifty shades of grey (which i did) then you will like bared to you by sylvia day. this book is being dubbed the next fifty shades of grey and by all accounts it has better writing. that should be encouraging for the fifty shades of grey haters. it costs $1470 – i would love to read this, sex and people with issues – my kind of thing hehe (bookland, new kingston)
i have emma donoghue’s first book called room which was an international bestseller. i haven’t read room but my friends who i’ve lent it to all loved it. there is no doubt emma’s second book would be a hit. astray should live up to expectations. cost $1630
i saw this book at my well read friend’s home. the author is decorated with many awards and if you want to read a well written novel then this book should be on your list. this could be your first toni morrison book. it will cost you $1770
two kids with the same name lived in the same decaying city. one went on to be a rhodes scholar, decorated combat veteran, white house fellow, and business leader. the other is serving a life sentence in prison. here is the story of two boys and the journey of a generation. it costs $2260
this books holds jamaica’s dance history on its pages. definitely a book for the coffee table and a conversation piece. cost $4500
i love the latest book by marcia forbes as it presents valuable data and analysis of social media in jamaica. a book for all ages and i appreciate marcia forbes is sharing our history. grab a copy when you can.
